ANIME EXPO 2014.Anime Expo 2014 week was one of the funnest weeks I've had in a long time. If you didn't know where Anime Expo takes place, it's in Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) out in Los Angeles, California. It happens annually, but other than that, there are other anime conventions that occur in California. For me, this convention was one of the first anime events I've been to and so I really wanted to volunteer for a while now. Going 3 years straight, I had to volunteer and so, I got the opportunity to because my friend happened to work there. And so, this is what happened... **I will combine all of the days into 1 blog. Makes it easier, especially that I forgot what happened on what day** Since it was my first year staffing, we were required to be there at Day -1. Yes, Day -1. It doesn't make sense but it really does when you're there. I was part of the Logistics team aka NINJAS and we were the group that would ensure that each room would get what they need. All their goods, equipment, etc had to be HAND DELIVERED to their rooms. On that day, we even had to set up some of the Cosplay sets. TOTALLY WORTH IT! After that, we got to stay at the hotel and ate a lot of food. Too much food. Below are a combination of some foods I got to eat the whole week. I know there's no pics, but I had 10 tacos too. -___- FAT! Throughout the week, we had random work to do: unloading pallets, carrying pallets, and even passing out free water. It was too funny. So many people were thanking us because of the water. So many "I love you guys!" or "Praise the Lord for water!" I even got a hug from a stranger. Got too much Love from the anime community! :) Other than that, we got to see a bunch of interesting events. We saw a Cosplay Wresting event where it was a bunch of guys cosplaying and wrestling. Lol. A dating show as well. It was quite interesting...especially the "18+ dance" Hah. So, a bunch of us went there just to see what the happs is and there was little kids in there. It was too awkward, but then, we eventually found out that it was an ALL AGES Dance. -___- EMBARRASSING!!! 20 minutes later, it was the 18+ Dance. So we felt dumb. Haha. I got to see a couple of premieres! Star Blazzers 2199 and Terror in Resonance! I missed the Sword Art Online II premiere, but let me tell you about Terror in Resonance. That is such a dope show that I'm excited for it to be shown to the world in a couple of weeks. I would totally rewatch it! Just imagine, two students are terrorists! Dope. No? Especially having dope Jazzy Jap Music. ULTIMATE DOPENESS! That's all you need to know. That was enough to convince me enough to attend. Overall, it was just a great experience bonding with new people and some people that I already know, of course! Everything that I would and should have said is featured in the pictures below because lowkey, I forgot what we did already, but what a great way to understand is by looking through pics! Here was most of my experience! :) SLIDESHOW TIME! Until next time guys, Otaku on!
PS. If you guys didn't know me and my friend, OSYM are forming an Anime Channel on Youtube called, "OTAKIFY!" It in an anime community that we want to build to talk everything about anime, from reviews of the shows to music from there. The Youtube Channel and Website will be up and running soon enough, but if you guys want to check that out, the instagram is below. Follow us and spread our voice to others who watch anime or want to get into it! Thanks Ya'll!
