This give restaurants a chance for you to sample some of the goodies that they have in their restaurants and this begins my food adventure that night.
Brix at the Shore.Their small sandwich there is 3 tickets. Kinda pricey, but apparently they are known for their pastrami. "World Famous!" That's what they said, but after trying it, I kind of understand why. I have my share of pastrami moments where it sounds good, but that doesn't happen all the time. I feel like it's a hit or miss for pastrami (at least for me), but here at Brix, they nailed it. Right in the forehead! The mini sandwich above is called "Fuhgeddaboudit" and I'm not sure what about the sandwich made it pretty tasty. It just was! Maybe the choice of pastrami, or the slaw. Maybe even the swiss or pickle? It has to be the combination of it all, especially with the Brix Deli Sauce. I think that's the dangerous stuff right there. I wonder it would taste with fries? MMmhmmmM. Yummers. I definitely want to try this place another time, but from what I've seen, it is kind of pricey normally. Maybe when I get that cash money I can go. Natraj: Cuisine of IndiaSo, when I came here, I was super indecisive and I was like...lets get all the items. This costed us 7 tickets. Not bad for everything we got. I know there was savings in there, some how. Lol. The items that is on this beautiful plate of food are the following: saffron rice, naan, vegetable samosas, channa masala, chicken makhani, chicken tika masala, and saag aloo. I hope I got the names right. Lol. Needless to say, they are all oh so good. If you're down for the Indian spices, def come here. Sushi Ai.Well, honestly, I wasn't craving sushi at the moment (especially pre-made sush...ewwww) but we were hella thirsty and that "Homemade Green Tea" sounded pretty delicious at the moment. Got a "large" cup of green tea for 2 tickets and it was actually good. It didn't taste fake. Lol. Eat Shabu. Long BeachIt was kind of funny. When we walked by here, I saw the bulgogi sign and was confused. Shabu is Japanese and yet, they are selling Korean food? Lol. In my head I was thinking, maybe cause you can't really sell Shabu in a mini size, or bulgogi is delicious. That's how we will bring in people. But apparently, they do sell bulgogi on the normal, only on their lunch menu. Lol. So, the pork bulgogi rice bowl was that steamed white rice with pork bulgogi, corn, stir fried baby bok choy, spiced pickled radishes and green onions. It was pretty tasty. The pork bulgogi was pretty minced up though, but the flavor was spot on. I really liked the spiced pickled radishes because no one really makes that spicy, which made it a nice change of flava town! When you combined all of the different items together, it brings you to that feeling of having kbbq which was nice for a small little sample of fun. Frosted CupcakeryWith Frosted next in line, you know Jade was excited. This is so far her favorite cupcakery. What they had on deck for S & S was mini versions of their delicious goods: red velvet /cream cheese cupcakes, chocolate / cookies & cream buttercream cupcakes, and royal white / salted caramel buttercream hi-top cupcakes. Each goodie was 1 ticket, so we spent 3 for a taste of it all! Red velvet: You already know about that red velvet game. It's just like everyone else, but for that day, it was actually moist. Lol. Salted caramel: I like the concept. Having just the tops of cupcakes and making a similar whoopie pie idea. I like the salted caramel cream but it was kind of sweet. Cookies and cream: It was good, but I personally, don't like eating chocolate cupcakes that much. Overall: They were all good and was a nice break from eating all that savory food. Starbucks Coffee CompanySimmzy'sSince I ate here before, I kind of was expecting great food and I brought up the Brussels sprouts. Tell me why, that was only the thing that they were selling! This was the happiest point in my life! The Brussels were 2 tickets for a small bowl of it, but it totally hit the spot. I've been dreaming about these and it's been forever since I had them. Look below! I just love them. It has a citrisy garlic salty sour flava that is out of bounds. I even like how they have a crouton in there which absorbs all of that flavor. It's just damn good food. Pandor: Artisan Boulangerie & CafeAt this small cafe, we got to try some pastries that were offered during the event. Still to this day, I don't recall what their names are, but one was definitely a chocolate almond croissant. The other one...is very similar to a cream puff (in taste). ParadisThe one thing that I enjoy about this place is that the ice cream there has an option of vegan. Isn't that awesome?! Since they have such an array of flavors, how about I just tell you the flavors we got to try: Salted Caramel and Strawberry Sorbet. If you wanna check the rest: http://www.paradis-icecream.com/products/5-our-flavors/ Other than that, it was a great change of flavor and the creaminess is what made it special. CREAMY! :) Powell's Sweet ShoppeWhat a great way to end the night, but with more Cream Cream! Well, gelato to be exact. After eating all those crazy flavors, I had to get something new, something sour. I got Lemon. Yes! Easy peezy lemon squeezy! Haha. It was a nice tart to end off the night, and after trying all these wonderful foods, I definitely want to go again in August.
