It was a regular night..just like any other night. Hanging out with the usuals and yet, before you know it, one of your best friends actually comes home! Karl's arrival to Cali from Indiana. So what do you do??? You freakin' hang out! Everyone met up at Oko Cafe. If you're not from the area, Oko Cafe is a Boba place in Gardena, CA that sells the option of making your drink "Sumo Size Me." If you don't have an idea of what that is, it's bigger than the picture below. The one below is actually "Kawaii Size." They have a wide variety of flavors and types of boba drinks...plus you're not limited to just having boba in your drink. The awesome part is that since it's not just boba, they got coffee, hella teas, etc., even food. If you want to see it, go to http://www.okocafe.com/menu/. They even have food challenges here, which is pretty cool. The ones I can remember from the top of my head are the fry challenges, boba, burger, and ramen. Not sure what else that have though, and I'm not quite sure about the actual details of each challenge. If you complete it, I know you get to write your name and time on this sheet of paper that gets put up on their wall. [Check out the pics below and you can see it]. Definitely, come here a bunch of times for my boba fix, which they actually say on the top of your cup. Lol. Gotta get that Milk Tea Fix, especially at 11pm. :) After we drank our dranks, we head out to Umenoya Ramen Co. It's crazy because I, personally have never heard of this place until my friend mentioned it to us that night. Surprisingly being from the area, it was kind of a place that I should have noticed, but never did. *Warning: Everyone is required to order something. Well, if you couldn't tell already, this is a ramen spot in Torrance, CA on Lomita and Crenshaw. It's a small shop that sells different Japanese foods: different soups, fried rices and Japanese appetizers. Check out the partial menu below: When I ordered my food, I tried the Mio Tokkotsu Ramen and we also got two orders of Gyoza, but one of them were the Russian Roulette Gyoza. The Russian Roulette Gyoza is 6 pieces of gyoza with one being Extra Spicy. Tell me why, the one who doesn't like spicy would get the spicy. Haha. But honestly, it wasn't that hot. :) Well, the ramen I got was good, but I've never had ramen with a more seafoody, fishy taste to it, so I thought it was a interesting experience on my part. If you never been here, I would definitely check it out, especially that it's open really late like 2am I think?
