Kansha Creamery is an ice cream shop out in Gardena, CA that serves a wide variety of flavors. I've heard of this place from numerous people and tons and tons of Instagram posts, sooooo, with all that hype, it was definitely a must try for me. Experience:When I dropped by, I noticed that Kansha is definitely a small, ice cream shop that is pretty much a hang out spot for many. All of that wooden furniture and artwork around, does definitely give a "hipster-ish" vibe that some people may say, but is definitely appealing to many. On their menu, they have a select amount of flavors daily, but it's never the same every time you go there. I'm not too sure how they choose their flavors every day, but they do have their usuals, and those usuals are really good. They don't just serve ice cream, but they do make parfait's out of their ice cream and serve drinks as well. Down below are a list of flavors they have made in house. I got in contact with the owners of Kansha Creamery and was given the opportunity to interview them. This is how it went... Interview with James and Elaine:1. What is Kansha Creamery? Kansha Creamery is a simple, humble ice cream shop. We hand make small batches using all natural ingredients- no stabilizers, no preservatives. And we give a portion of our profits to charity. This year we are working with Zoe International who rescues kids from child trafficking. 2. How did you start Kansha Creamery? Why did you guys decide to start it? It was God's hand that helped us start and continue to run Kansha. It's a long story, but my brother and I definitely don't deserve any credit for the success of this store. We worked really hard, but in the end we believe it was a legitimate miracle. We usually give the short answer when people ask us why we wanted to start the shop, which is because my brother made delicious ice cream at home! But the long answer is because my brother and I sponsor several kids in South East Asia so they can go to school through a charity called Gospel for Asia and we wanted to sponsor more kids. We had very meager income and we just wanted to start a business where we can focus on giving. So last year we were able to give to orphan care ministries through the Childrens Hunger Fund. 3. Where do you derive your flavors from? What are the inspirations behind it? My brother James comes up with the flavors. Usually what he wants to eat or the ideas he steals from restaurants that he wants to eat lol. And sometimes I force him to make fruit flavors 4. Do you have a favorite or go to flavor? If so, why that flavor? House Vanilla is my brother's favorite. I like Matcha. 5. Do you have any further plans for Kansha with flavors or other possible concoctions? We change our flavors at least once a week so yes! Overall:Everytime I drop by here, I really do enjoy the ice cream as well as the service they provide. Everytime I go there, I always stick with the Mr. Universal, but I think next time, I will definitely try out the other flavors. The one thing that I may warn you though is...please go before they run out of the flavor you want! I have experienced it one late night where I dropped by before their closing time, and they already closed shop since to they ran out of ice cream. ;p Make sure you check them out on their social media below, follow them, and drop by their shop.
